Plant Operator (Cylinder Requalifier)Apply locations Marinette, WITime type: Full timePosted on: Posted 3 Days AgoJob requisition id: R10057454Location: Marinette, WI - Filling industrialHow will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?The Cylinder Requalifier provides general assistance in the plant, including painting cylinders, valve/de-valve cylinders, general cylinder movement and handling throughout the plant including the loading of trucks. The Cylinder Requalifier may also operate a forklift.In particular, you will:Inspect cylinders prior to filling, following standard procedures as required by government, Airgas, and distributor standards.Conduct a variety of safety checks per procedures, such as odor tests, checking caps and valves.Analyze products for purity and correct mixtures.Handle high-pressure, medical, and liquid cylinders.Prepare high-pressure cylinders and cryogenic vessels for filling.Assist with the loading & unloading of cylinders on & off pallets and tractor trailers.Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.Manage paperwork to DOT, FDA, OSHA, and Airgas standards.Complete quality control sheets as required.Understand hazards of various gases; size and contents of cylinders by reading and interpreting cylinder labels and the color-coding of tanks.Accurately label cylinders.Comply with all government and company standards relating to the safe handling of hazardous materials/cylinder gases.Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly plant appearance.Other duties as assigned.Are you a MATCH?HS Diploma or equivalent required.Prior experience operating a forklift and pallet jack is preferred.Willingness to learn and become knowledgeable of hazards associated with high-pressure cylinder tanks.Ability to safely drive a forklift.Ability to perform very heavy work â routinely lift 25 to 75 lb., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lb. Also required to push and pull liquid containers weighing up to 1000 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.Lives by Airgas safety programs, OSHA, and all related rules, regulations, procedures which are applicable to this position's responsibilities.We care about and support our Airgas Families.
