Perform plant operations; operate pumps, motors, chemical feed pumps, etc. manually and or via SCADAPerform lab analysis, interrupt results, make correct chemical adjustments based on results Perform data entry into computerPerform or assist with plant maintenance, basin, or clarifier cleaningPerform or assist with preventative plant maintenance.OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
Answer phones, dispatch emergency call, customer complaints, conduct facility tours, etc. Obtain minimum licensing requirement; TCEQ Class C Surface Water license and maintain in accordance with license requirements. Other duties as assigned. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Must be able to work any assigned shift; days, evenings, nights, swing, rotating, on-call, etc.Must possess the ability to perform water treatment tasks in accordance with TCEQ regulations. Must possess the ability to follow all safety procedures in and around hazardous chemicals. Must possess the ability to perform basic math as it relates to water treatment. Must be able to use a computer to retrieve and enter data. Must be able to perform plant operations using SCADA system. Must be able to read, write, speak, and effectively communicate using the English language. Must be able to receive training and direction in accordance with policies and regulations. Work is performed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Must be able to stand, walk, sit 1-8 hours daily. Ability to push, pull, carry up to 50 pounds; carry 20 pounds, lift 100 pounds; occasionally climb, stoop, and bend 1 hour daily.Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred in the field of chemistry, biology or a related field but not requiredMust obtain TCEQ Class C Surface Water license within 18 months of employment and maintain license in good standing.
