Plant Operator - Drax : Job Details

Plant OperatorFull-time, PermanentOn-siteLocation: Leola,ARAt Drax, we are working towards azero-carbon, sustainable future and you can help make this future areality.     If you are a team player, adaptableto change, and have a hands-on attitude, join the team as a Satellite Operator.    So, what will you be doing?     In this role, you will beresponsible to operate, maintain and oversee all the areas within the mill toassure compliance with established procedures relative to quality,productivity, maintenance, and safety by performing assigned duties.The core responsibilities andduties include:    

• Contributeto the creation and implementation of operational best practices that lendto the manufacturing vision, strategy, and policies of the site
• Constantlyreviews the operation of the plant to monitor production and quality,anticipating and solving problems in a timely manner, and identifyingopportunities for improvement
• Followsstandard operating instructions/procedures in the performance of all areasincluding start-up, shutdown, and normal operations
• Reviewproduct quality and makes system adjustments as needed
• Monitorand adjust drag chain conveyors
• Performshousekeeping duties as requested, is responsible for keeping designatedarea clean and clear of safety hazards
• Performbasic maintenance to keep equipment in clean, good working order includingbut not limited to: changing bearings, changing pellet mill parts,changing hammer mill parts, carry out maintenance activities on pumps,valves, fans, piping systems, compressors and conveying systems, and otherminor plant maintenance as needed

Who you are?     Do you have?    

• Highschool diploma or equivalent
• Minimumof 3-5 years industrial experience
• Demonstratedelectrical and/or mechanical aptitude
• Abilityto adapt to working within a team or lone working environment, withminimal supervision
• Must have a professional attitude and work well with others
• Promote a safe working environment and follow all workplace and job safety procedures
• Perform/coordinate good housekeeping in the facility
• Must be willing to work shift which includes weekends, nights, and holidays
