Our employees take great pride in our products, and we are recognized as a premier employer and valued partner in the local community.Requisition SummaryPlant PQI Engineering:This PQI Engineering position is responsible for engineering design issue resolution, quality improvement development, and production support for engineering issues that primarily arise in PPQA, PQI, and FVV.If you are an energetic, driven professional who is able to handle multiple tasks, take initiative, is a team player, problem solver, has professional and effective communication skills (written and verbal), along with excellent interpersonal skills, this might be the position for you.Job Functions / ResponsibilitiesResponsible for engineering design issue resolution, quality improvement development, and production support.Duties involve engineering assistance, problem resolution, training and other engineering duties supporting various aspects of heavy truck production.Designs specific parts in assigned phases of projects, applying standard engineering techniques with minimum supervision, occasionally requiring independent evaluation.Lead and/or participate in 6-sigma initiatives aimed at meeting plant and division quality goals.Prepare and present engineering quality status reports and other detailed reporting as directed to various levels of management.Other duties as assigned.No Travel expected for this positionQualificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Engineering required3-5 years' experience in the manufacturing industryExtensive knowledge and use of PACCAR systems such as COPICS, OPS, EASOP and PCMS preferred.
