DescriptionEMIT Technologies, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated 2nd Shift Plant Supervisor to oversee daily operations in our manufacturing facility during the evening shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising and managing the production team, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency standards are met, while maintaining a productive work environment during the hours of 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM.Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a team of production employees to ensure production goals are met on time and within quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety within the plant.
  • Monitor and adjust production schedules to maintain continuous workflow.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and training to team members on the proper use of equipment, safety protocols, and production processes.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment, machinery, and work areas to ensure they are functioning efficiently and safely.
  • Oversee the implementation of maintenance and troubleshooting activities as needed.
  • Manage inventory levels of raw materials, parts, and finished goods to meet production demands.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures, including quality control, labor, and environmental standards.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, employee engagement, and accountability.
  • Communicate effectively with other shifts and management to ensure smooth transition and continuity of operations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in a 2nd shift role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring the highest quality standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
  • Proficient in the use of manufacturing software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed.
