Job Summary:

PIC Group is seeking a skilled Plastic Molding Technician at a leading company in the plastic manufacturing sector, currently experiencing significant growth in Buffalo Grove, IL The Plastic Molding Technician role involves setting up, maintaining, and operating plastic injection molding machines under the supervision of the Processing & Applications Manager. The role also includes providing excellent customer service for processing troubleshooting needs and supporting the site by loading/unloading equipment and assisting with facility setup as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Prepare machine parts for installation, including plumbing and electrical connections

* Set up and maintain plastic injection molding machines.

* Shadow mechanical and software engineers to learn the functionality of software on machines.

* Provide hands-on and verbal training in the areas of process optimization and uses the machine controller for internal associates and/or customers as needed.

* .Maintain plastic injection molding machines, including transferring molds and adjusting process controls as needed.

* Perform setup operations and troubleshoot injection molding machines.

* Load software and other requests to prepare for tests or molds.

Job Requirements:

* Maintain the technical center for customer activities and perform required training both at customer facilities and at our technical centers.

* Occasionally travel within Chicago or to facilities outside Chicago to assist customers.

Physical Requirements:

* Must be able to analyze problems on running or downed machines, sometimes in a hot, dusty or noisy environment.

* Work in General shop conditions with dust, noise, etc.

* Perform tasks that may require climbing ladders, working from platforms, and lifting up to 100 lbs.

* May also require standing for long periods.

Education / Experience:

* High school diploma or equivalent required.

* 3+ demonstrated experience in plastics processing.
