Platform Engineer Team LeadArlington, VA-HybridUS Citizen required per clientResponsibilities:Platform Engineer Team LeadOur client offers the opportunity to participate in the evolution of end user computing technology across the enterprise. The ideal candidate is an expert IT end user engineer who has proven experience designing, developing, implementing and maintaining a standard end user delivery model. The Platform Engineer Team Lead is responsible for providing high quality support in managing, planning, monitoring, and reporting on the service and remediations. The Platform Engineer Team Lead is charged with managing and monitoring the enforcement of all applicable directives at a quality level acceptable to the customer. The Platform Engineer Team Lead will devise, and review methods for monitoring, evaluating/reporting the performance. As part of a continuous process improvement role, the Platform Engineer Team Lead will play a critical role in reporting deviations, monitoring and reporting trends, remediating non-complaint systems, and ensuring products are current.The position is a Hybrid position which requires remote and onsite support in Arlington, VA. There may be times where the Platform Engineer Team Lead needs to be available outside of normal hours to support critical issues, meetings, or implementation windows.Technology Scope of Position Technologies may include end user compute, collaboration & productivity, and directory services. The focus of this role is operating systems, windows device management, group policies, browsers, printers and administrative scripting.Solid knowledge of the following product space including Windows platform, Intune, Autopilot, Windows Update for Business, M365, PowerShell, Power BI, Group Policy, Azure Active Directory ResponsibilitiesLead a team of 6 platform engineers and help prioritize work efforts, complete status reports, and communicate with program level senior management and federal stakeholdersPerform deployments, and troubleshoot complex issues in a large network environmentExperience with infrastructure systems administration, and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) server health checksWork in a large IT enterprise environment following SOP's and Work Instructions to provide quality customer serviceProvide solutions to complex issues; handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentWork in a group setting and able to collaborate with remote personnel of various skill levelsWork with minimal supervision, with attention to detail, and follow-throughEnsure the Change Management procedures are followedDevelop automate tools for information gathering and configuration changes to the desktop environmentProvide guidance and recommendation for user and machine group policiesMaintain distribution points across all sites including vendor sites when necessaryWork closely with Application teams to test and approve new software being added to the buildsWork with Sr. Engineer to yearly review of Hardware standards and provide recommendation based on new modelsTroubleshoot complex application issues within the end user environmentMaintain currency in end user market trends and participate in industry workgroups as needed.Strong ability to identify issues in the environment and can efficiently communicate the issues with colleagues and upper managementProcess oriented and can document work processes and workflowsFamiliar with building and configuring Intune AutopilotKnowledge of remote support tools +(e.g. BeyondTrust, Remote Help)Familiar with core technologies such as DNS, DHCP, storage and networkingBasic code skills in one of the following languages PowerShell/VBScript/PythonQualifications:10 years of experience in IT support or related fieldExperience in Systems Administration, including server & workstation troubleshootingExperience using ticketing systems, such as ServiceNowMicrosoft Intune managing windows devicesKnowledge STIG or CIS controlsKnowledge of network concepts/protocolsKnowledge of scripting/programmingMicrosoft Windows Desktop and Server OS knowledge (Win11, Server 2012 or higher)
