As an Toddler Lead you are responsible for monitoring and conducting activities in childcare programs and working with other staff to plan programs and activities.

Responsibilities:
The Toddler Lead typical job functions include:
- Organizing and leading activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and field trips. Facilitating creative play and motor-skill activities based on play-based learning.
- Observing and evaluating children's performance, behavior, social development and physical health. Identifying children showing signs of emotional, developmental, or health-related problems, and discuss them with supervisors, parents, and/or guardians.
- Meeting with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress and needs, determine their priorities for their children, and suggest ways that they can promote learning and development.
- Preparing materials and classrooms for class activities. Conferring with other staff members to plan and schedule lessons promoting learning following approved curriculum.
- Creating weekly lesson plans for age-appropriate lead position. This will include creating at least one activity for Saturday & Sunday. 1/ month for varying ages.
- Being comfortable directing staff you work with daily to ensure all activities and children remain safe and entertained.
- Teaching proper eating habits and personal hygiene.
- Adapting teaching methods and instructional materials to meet child's varying needs and interests.
- Establishing clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to children. Demonstrating activities to children.
- Preparing reports on children and activities as required by the Childcare Management staff through Brightwheel.
- Organizing and labeling materials and display childrens work in a manner appropriate for their ages and perceptual skills.
- Attending professional meetings, educational conferences, and lead training workshops in order to maintain and improve professional competence & development.
- Recommending and communicating with Program Director remedial program needs for children requiring extra assistance.
- Organizing, tracking, and completing inventory of classroom equipment, materials, and supplies.
