Plow Crew Equipment Operator - Bogus Basin : Job Details

SUMMARY

The Plow Crew position is responsible for safely clearing the roads and the parking lots to allow access for guests to enjoy the mountain recreation area.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

* Operate plow truck, wheel loader, skid steer, and other equipment to remove snow from roads and parking lots.

* Assist in maintaining equipment and communicate equipment conditions to appropriate staff.

* Report conditions to the appropriate staff.

* Work with mechanics for repairs and maintenance issues.

* Follow procedures recommended for operating equipment and service schedules.

* Promote safety by following safe practices and reporting any unsafe conditions.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

* Maintain a professional attitude toward guests, drivers, and staff.

* Assist in mountain rescue efforts, if necessary.

* Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS

* Passionate about Bogus Basin's Mission.

* Heavy equipment operation experience.

* Ability to work a flexible schedule and a variety of hours.

* Day Shifts: 3:30am to 12:00pm, Night Shifts: 2pm to 10:30pm

* This position must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds occasionally as well as occasionally lift up to 35 pounds above shoulder level.

* Occasionally required to stand, balance, walk, climb, and reach with hands and arms.

* Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.

* Regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or fell objects, tools, or controls.

* Ability to communicate verbally and to hear.

* Valid class B or higher CDL driver's license and insurability.

* Pre-employment drug test required.

* This position requires employees to provide sufficient clothing for warmth in winter conditions, gloves in good repair, and pac boots in good repair.

WORKING CONDITIONS

* Outdoor environment; exposed to inclement weather and adverse conditions.

* May be exposed to smoke, dust, fumes and odors.

* Vibration and noise are present in the work environment.
