ShiftMonday - Friday, DaysScheduled Weekly Hours40POSITION PURPOSE: Performs plumbing repairs and assists in new plumbing installations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Under the direction of the licensed plumber, installs and repairs domestic water, steam and hydronic systems.
• Installs sheet metal ductwork associated with HVAC systems.
• Services, repairs and overhauls pumps, valves, hydraulic systems, steam systems, and hydronic systems.
• Services and repairs heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
• Attends gas-fired boilers.
• Performs chemical tests, analysis and treatment of boiler, tower water and closed-loop systems.
• Has knowledge of Uniform Plumbing and Uniform Mechanical codes.
• Estimates quantities of materials needed for all scope of work responsibilities.
• Performs assigned preventative maintenance
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
• Consistently demonstrates the ability to recognize, establish and deal with priorities.
• Demonstrates a needs-no-reminder attitude after direction has been explained and the assignment is carried out.

SPECIALIZED KNOW-HOW & REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of four (4) years commercial experience as a plumber strongly preferred.
• Valid State of Illinois vehicle driver's license.
