- Under the direction of the licensed plumber, installs and repairs domestic water, steam and hydronic systems.
- Installs sheet metal ductwork associated with HVAC systems.
- Services, repairs and overhauls pumps, valves, hydraulic systems, steam systems, and hydronic systems.
- Services and repairs heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
- Attends gas-fired boilers.
- Performs chemical tests, analysis and treatment of boiler, tower water and closed-loop systems.
- Has knowledge of Uniform Plumbing and Uniform Mechanical codes.
- Estimates quantities of materials needed for all scope of work responsibilities.
- Performs assigned preventative maintenance
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- Consistently demonstrates the ability to recognize, establish and deal with priorities.
- Demonstrates a needs-no-reminder attitude after direction has been explained and the assignment is carried out.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of four (4) years commercial experience as a plumber required.
- Valid State of Illinois vehicle driver's license.
