Elwyn is seeking a Plumbing/Maintenance Supervisor who troubleshoots, fixes, repairs and/or replaces plumbing and steam systems as well as provides routine facility maintenance.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintains the facilities' plumbing and steam systems including installation of new equipment
- Maintains and performs preventative maintenance (PM) in accordance with established PM schedules
- Communicates daily with supervisors and staff (via telephone and email) regarding facilities maintenance issues
- Creates and maintains work logs in accordance with Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection
- Arranges work orders as they are received and completes in order of priority
- Maintains stock inventory and orders materials as needed
- Maintains and updates computer database once systems have been serviced and/or replaced Responds to requests for information by accessing relevant facility files
- Provides routine building maintenance as needed
- Oversees the work activities of the Maintenance Repair Person
- Trains new hires in the department regarding handling of general work processes as well as how to handle basic plumbing issues
- Provides supervision of assigned staff in the areas including, but not limited to, recruitment, selection, leadership, coaching, training, performance management, promotion, discipline and termination
- Oversees the work activity of any plumbing contractor
- Provides back-up coverage for other maintenance supervisors as needed
- Performs On call responsibilities for building maintenance after hours
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Master Plumber license with eligibility to transfer license to Middletown Township, Pennsylvania
- Five (5) years' experience as a plumber
- One (1) year providing supervision preferred
- Experience working in building trades preferred
- Ability to read and understand blueprints preferred
- Knowledge of and proficient in relevant computer systems related to the field
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Must possess excellent customer interaction and written and verbal communication skills
- Must have current, valid driver's license in state of residence, three (3) years driving experience in the United States, and acceptable driving record
