Considerable knowledge of occupational hazards and safe operation of the trade Ability to operate trencher/backhoe. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to read and write the English language. Ability to operate and transport mini-excavators, backhoes and other digging equipment. Ability to read blueprints. Must have a positive attitude with the willingness and desire to learn new skills. Ability to adjust to changing work demands, procedures, technology, and/or priorities. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to safely work in close proximity to various species of animals. Functions and Duties Installing and performing repairs and replacements to plumbing systems as needed in all BREC facilities to ensure proper working condition. Repair/replacement of plumbing fixtures and components, such as sinks, toilets, shower hardware, etc. Installation, repair, replacements of irrigation systems and backflow preventers. Inspection, repair, replacement of drinking fountains, plumbing pipes, heaters, valves, fixtures. Insulation of plumbing lines, and related equipment as necessary. Clearing, repair of sewer lines. Inspection, repair and maintenance of swimming pool mechanical systems. Purchase of needed supplies and materials for jobs. Proper recording of daily tasks and expenses. Secondary Duties: Operation and maintenance of swimming pool and other aquatic feature circulation systems and water quality. Keeping track of all assigned equipment and inventory. FULL-TIME STATUS : Upon completion of a six-month probationary periods and approval of supervisor, full-time status will be achieved.
