• Responsible for Log Yard / Barker (safety, quality, production, morale, environmental)
• Housekeeping from Bark Hog through chip bins and as needed within department.
• Manage pond levels and sprinklers in log yard and landfill.
• Accountable for metrics / Daily QC checks
• Weekly and monthly inventory
• Responsible to run through breaks, OT as needed, fill staffing gaps.
• Product flow through the department (Log yard, block, vats and green end)
• Not responsible for employment decisions
• Review production requirements for the day
• Ensure a clean and safe environment
• Respond to any problems with pre-work / start-up
• Check material inventories daily
• Full operations of log yard equipment / Barker, Block yard Operations
• Review staffing - report staffing needs to area supervisor
• Operations of leachate system, monitoring and reporting
• Work with maintenance and mechanics - report needs, enter work requests
• Communicate deck changes and needs to log scalers, communicate needs and issues to recourse department
• Log inventory and flow - update maps from LIMS
• Monitoring and reporting of environmental (issues / concerns)
