About the Role: As a Point of Care Coord-MT, your main responsibility will be to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the point of care testing program within Lab Services department. You will be responsible for overseeing the coordination, implementation, and maintenance of the point of care testing program, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Your goal will be to provide accurate and timely test results, contributing to the overall quality and safety of our products. Additionally, you will play a key role in training and educating staff on proper testing procedures and ensuring the proper functioning of testing equipment. Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
- Registered as a Medical Technologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent
- Have at least 5 years' experience in clinical laboratory medicine with at least 3 years supervisory or leadership experience.
- Working knowledge of POC methodology and regulatory requirements.
- Experience working in a clinical laboratory or point of care testing setting.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and quality control measures.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ASCP preferred
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a clinical laboratory or point of care testing program.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
- Experience with troubleshooting and maintenance of testing equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
