POLICE DEPARTMENT - Hire Timeline:

Written Test Administered..........................................................................January 4th (9 a.m.) and January 7th (5:30 p.m.), 2025

Assessment Center, Panel Interview and Physical Agility.. January 15 - 18, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. at Oshkosh PD

Background Investigations..................Beginning January 20, 2025

Chief's Interview.....................................................................Beginning week of February 3, 2025 (after passing the Background Investigation)

Eligibility List...................................................................Subject to passing the above steps

Medical / Psychological Examinations..............Following Conditional Offer of Employment

Police and Fire Commission Appointment ..Beginning in April 2025 (as needed)

Recruit Academy ........................................If needed and subject to hire as a Police Cadet (Recruit Academy starting March 31, 2025)

Field Training Program .............Upon hire or completion of Recruit Academy

Candidates will be allowed to participate in the testing if they are within 1 semester of meeting one of the education requirements. However, candidates will not be eligible for appointment until the requirements are fully met.

Candidates who become ineligible due to the unsuccessful completion of any of the hiring steps may reapply, but must wait a period of no less than 4 months from the date of the prior written test before being eligible to retake the written test.
