- Acts in accordance with the JCPD General Orders as well as the City of Junction City Personnel Policies/Guidelines
- Handles monies received and disbursed
- Responds to background checks and records checks for law enforcement agencies
- Performs records checks and drivers' license checks on subjects applying for City licenses
- Assembles and files hard copy case folders
- Responds to records requests from the private sector as well as the general public
- Cross-trains in all aspects of the Records Department
- Ensures that record keeping is compliant with State and Federal guidelines
- Assists in answering inbound, non-emergent phone calls
- Assists individuals that come into the Police Department
- Scans supporting documents into digital case files
- Additional tasks as assigned

- Assists in the daily operations of the Records Department efficiently and effectively
Typical Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute with minimal errors
- Minimum of one-year experience in a customer service setting
- Proficiency in the use of personal computers and other office equipment
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with the general public
- Basic mathematical and data entry skills
