Job Description :

Renewable Properties is looking for a highly motivated Policy and Markets Analyst. The Policy and Markets Analyst is responsible for identifying, tracking, and supporting market entry plans for key energy markets across the US. The ideal candidate has a significant ability to engage, follow, and help shape policy and regulatory issues related to renewable energy. S/he must have entrepreneurial drive, understanding of the energy sector and excellent communication skills. This is a unique opportunity to play an integral role in driving Renewable Properties' continued success and growth in a changing and impactful industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Track key regulatory and policy developments related to solar and energy storage markets across the US.
  • Gather market intelligence and continuously strive to be an industry leading thinker.
  • Engage with and follow various trade association and policy groups in the industry to identify market opportunities for the firm.
  • Develop strategic plans to enter new markets with clear theses and well thought out plans.
  • Help set goals and timelines for success in existing and new markets.
  • Assist with early business development efforts such as reaching out to potential customers, partners and other stakeholders as the firm pursues new campaigns and markets.
  • Help author and deliver presentations and proposals especially in early campaigns.
  • An ability and excitement to wear multiple hats and grow with a promising renewable development company.

Requirements:

  • 1-2+ years' experience in energy policy or regulation and/or degree in policy, energy/environment, or economics.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to spot market trends early and develop working models to capitalize on an opportunity.
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Working understanding of the environmental and utility regulatory environment.
  • Rigorous attention to detail, work ethic, personal responsibility, work product ownership and organizational skills.
  • Capacity to navigate ambiguity and thrive in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment.
  • Resourceful team player with an appetite to collaborate cross-functionally.
