THE ROLE OF POOL AND BEACH MANAGER
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pool and beach Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Beach Club and Pool area. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for guest services, and a commitment to providing all guests with a safe and enjoyable environment. As the pool and beach manager, you will supervise staff, manage pool activities, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Lead and supervise the pool staff, including lifeguards, ensuring high performance and Member service standards.
- Manage the pool area's daily operations, including scheduling shifts, assigning tasks, and monitoring staff performance.
- Oversee the daily operations of the pool and beach areas, ensuring that all activities run smoothly.
- Provide exceptional member relations by welcoming members and guests and responding to emergencies.
- Ensure that the Club's Pool and Beach Area are clean and orderly, including setting up and taking down beach furniture and umbrellas.
- Schedule lifeguards and other staff two weeks in advance to ensure adequate coverage for all activities.
- Plan and oversee pool maintenance, water aerobics schedules, and Chair Yoga setups.
- Maintain an inventory of pool and beach furniture, kayaks, canoes, and surfing boards.
- Ensure the repair and upkeep of umbrellas and beach chairs.
- Coordinate and schedule all beach activities, including banana boat rides
- Consistently enhance the quality of service and amenities offered in the pool and beach areas
- Count and manage inventory of towels, both large and small, ensuring proper supplies during both the in-season and off-season.
- As needed, place orders for towels
- Clarify and enforce the dress code for members and guests.
- Manage the games and equipment in the MPR, ensuring they are in good condition and available for use.
- Manage the booklet with waivers, register, and have members sign on rental waivers for any kayaks, canoes, or paddle boards.
- Set up for movie nights and s'mores nights, including ordering gas tanks for heaters and wood logs for outdoor activities.
- May drive the van as needed for club activities and events
- Performs any other tasks required by his supervisor.
WHAT YOU BRING
To be considered, one must have at least 5 years of Pool and Beach Manager experience working in a fast-paced environment within the Private Country Club or Hospitality industry. The candidate must also be capable of working flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Proven leadership experience in a supervisory role in a private club, resort, or hospitality setting.
- Strong guest service and customer service skills, focusing on creating memorable guest experiences.
- Experience in shift management with the ability to effectively manage time and resources.
- Excellent report writing skills to document incidents, maintenance needs, and operational updates.
- Previous experience as an assistant manager or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of pool maintenance practices is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Certification in CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguarding.
