ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Manages the day-to-day operation of the outlet in accordance with established policies and procedures.
* Establishes and administers training programs within the outlet, including new employee orientation.
* Directs the development and administration of controls for all phases of the outlet in an economical and profitable manner while maintaining established standards.
* Maintains an efficient program of scheduling to ensure a high standard of service with the use of minimum man-hours.
* Maintains and instructs assigned personnel as to safety policies and procedures and follows up to ensure hazards are eliminated.
* Acts immediately on all customer complaints to ensure that corrections are made when possible.
* Monitors work of employees to ensure that established policies and procedures are being followed.
* Counsels, guides and instructs assigned personnel in the proper performance of their duties.
* Prepares and coordinates the periodical performance reviews of assigned personnel.
* Recommends changes including hiring, promotion, demotion and release of personnel; recommends wage and salary adjustments for personnel within established guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must have schedule flexibility including evenings, weekends, holiday shifts and overtime, as needed.
* Ability to plan, organize, and complete work; take initiative logically and independently.
* Must be able to get along well with co-workers. Possess well-developed interpersonal skills
* Must possess good written and verbal communication skills and be able to read, write fluently in English
* Previous computer and customer service experience is preferred.
* Receive instructions and hear inquiries from guests, clients, or staff.
* Ability to remain alert throughout the duration of shift and remain calm during emergency situations.
* Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
* HS diploma or GED.
* Casino/Hotel experience preferred.
* Experience within an upscale hotel preferred.
* Work requires a minimum of 6 months experience.
* Manager/Supervisor experience preferred
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
* May be expected to have passed certain local first aid and swimming requirements. Working knowledge of pool design and maintenance details.
* Must be able to plan, promote, and follow through with programs, and be able to test pool attendants for competence.
* Good communication and people skills required.
* Must have a minimum of 4 years experience in related position
* Handle sensitive situations relating to staff and guest problems, in a timely manner
* Read, write, speak, and understand English.
* Operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
* Respond to visual and aural cues
* Work in cold & hot temperatures
* Possibly be exposed to second hand smoke
