Backing the communities across our region is an ever-growing and ever-strengthening healthcare system.The Population Health Quality Coordinator, under the direction of the Quality Coordinator RN / Quality Improvement Analyst and Market Leadership is responsible for leading the quality improvement activities needed to perform favorable on contracts and ACO financial incentives. The Quality Coordinator will work closely with primary care providers and clinical staff to achieve key measures of success; closing caps in care and accurately coding patients' severity of illness in their documentation. This position participates in collaboration meetings and process improvement initiatives between the ACO and insurance companies' quality program managers and the primary care practice as a whole.Position Summary:Effectively communicates providing constructive feedback to providers and staff alike on meeting quality goalsContinuous learning of payer quality programsWorks collaboratively with payers to understand their quality data and communicate to the Providers and staffParticipates in JOC meetings and additional meetings as assignedActs as a professional role model and mentor to coach team members on clinic workflows as related to achieving quality metricsOther duties as assignedQualificationsRequired Knowledge, Skills, Licensure, Training & Travel Requirements:Education:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredMedical Assistant certificate requiredCurrent BLS/CPR certification requiredWork experience:Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Medical AssistantFluent with medical terminology requiredKnowledge:Understanding of Managed Care Quality IncentivesUnderstanding of medical documentation requirements for meeting quality incentivesGeneral medical office proceduresSkills:Proficiency in basic computer programs and operating systems, such as Microsoft OfficeExcellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skillsBilingual in English and Spanish preferredAbilities:Must be able to perform courteously and professionally in all interactionsEquipment Operated:Office equipment such as fax machine, copier and telephone systemEKG machineWork environment:Works in a well-lighted, OSHA Standard environmentMay be exposed to infectious and contagious diseasesMay be in contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstancesOccasionally subject to irregular hoursEEO StatementAll UHS subsidiaries are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and teammates.
