Position: PorterLocation: Troy, MIReports To: Department ManagerDescription:The Porter is tasked with various support functions aligned with Mechanical, Paint, Quality andCompany Vehicle Operations. The Porter may move vehicles on public roads between locations or mayalso organize vehicles in lots on ground.Essential Job Functions:Responsible for moving company vehicles to appropriate locationParking lot organization of vehicles in accordance with lot numberingResponsible for fueling, vacuuming and cleaning/washing company vehiclesPerform physical inspections of used vehiclesReceive new vehicles inspection for damage, cleanliness, etc.Assist in the exchange process of vehicles being dropped off or picked upReconciling vehicle shippers and recording VIN #s to match with inventory systemShuttle technical personnel between work locationsFiling of vehicle paperwork and other office tasksFollowing all company policies relating to safe drivingOther duties deemed necessary by managementPosition Qualifications:Education HS diploma or equivalentExcellent driving record (less than 4 points on driving record)Able to drive a manual transmissionStrong organizational skillsExcellent customer service skillsCapable written and oral communicationAbility to work in a fast paced environmentOther Requirements:Lifting Requirements: 5 25lbs.Activity Requirements: moderate to high level of physical activity
