Purpose
The Post Harvest Technician III is responsible for the proper running and continuous improvement of Harvest, Drying, and Curing operations.
Pay for this position starts at $24.75
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leads and coordinates technicians during harvest; ensures Safety and GMP SOP adherence and recordkeeping.
- Maintains accurate batch tracking and recordkeeping during harvesting and drying processes.
- Assists with the collection of data for reporting on plant health metrics and ongoing research and development for the greenhouse.
- Collects and utilizes data generated during harvest/drying operations to continually improve company processes.
- Under the direction of the Cultivation Manager will maintain various systems (including NAV) for batch weight recordkeeping and other harvest related software tasks.
- Mentors and trains Post Harvest Tech Is and Tech IIs on standard harvest processes and operating procedures.
- Performs all tasks set by management in a safe and efficient manner.
- Monitors flower water activity & Loss on Drying (L.O.D) percentage to maintain optimum dry and cure parameters.
- Support planning, assign, and oversee day to day activities of technicians assigned to Harvest, with direction from the Cultivation Manager.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED and 1-3 years of experience in a related field required.
- Must be 21 years old.
- Significant experience and proven proficiency in coordinating harvest related tasks.
- In depth understanding of harvest workflow and dry/cure/trim processes and parameters.
- Exceptional attention to detail, commitment to product quality, initiative to learn new skills, successful conflict resolution skills, ability to work in cross-functional teams, demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Understands the fundamental principles of cultivation, drying, curing and sanitation and applies them in a practical manner.
- Demonstrated competency in computer software skills including ERP systems and proficiency in Google office preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of cannabis regulations for the local market as they pertain to the role.
- Good Agricultural Practices certification preferred.
Working Conditions:
Uneven surfaces, stand/sit long periods of time, bending/stopping, hard surfaces, ambient temperature environment. Requires weekend/holidays rotation
