NYU Courant's Center for Atmosphere Ocean Science is seeking outstanding researchers with strong physical insight and analytical ability to join the research group of Prof. Laure Zanna (laurezanna.github.io). Some of our recent work includes: ocean dynamics and climate change, air-sea interactions, predictability in mid-latitudes, and stochastic parameterizations of turbulent ocean processes. We are primarily interested in researchers who can incorporate ideas and tools from machine learning to solve fundamental problems in ocean/climate dynamics and modeling.

The earliest start date is September 2019. These positions are full-time appointments initially for one year and renewable conditional on satisfactory performance and funding.
