Postdoctoral Positions in Molecular Biology and MicrobiologyPostdoctoral positions in molecular biology and microbiology are available at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine, Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), and Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA, USA. We are seeking highly motivated and qualified candidates with a Ph.D. in molecular biology and/or microbiology. The candidate should demonstrate a keen knowledge of experimental design and underlying scientific principles, possess the ability to rigorously analyze and assess results, and generate clear reports via strong publications. Experience in translating technologies to the clinics using animal models is highly advantageous. The candidates will join our team to investigate multiple innovative aspects of a newly developed mRNA delivery system targeting cognitive degeneration diseases, vaccine development, and antibiotic-resistant microbes. The candidates will have the opportunity to work with other fellows in a laboratory focused on the research fields of allergy, sample-free blood biomarker detection, universal influenza vaccines, laser-based antimicrobe technology, and photobiomodulation-mediated regeneration (please see recent publications in Science, Nature Nanotechnology, Advanced Materials, Materials Today, Science translational medicine, and Nature communication). Massachusetts General Hospital is a major Boston teaching hospital and a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School. The fellows will be appointed at the Harvard Medical School and have access to a range of training opportunities available via both MGH and HMS.Requirements: The ideal candidate must have a Ph.D in microbiology and/or molecular biology. Strong independent scientific thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt protocols are required. Preference will be given to individuals who can work independently and collaboratively.Contact: Interested candidates should send their curriculum vitae with contact information for three references to Dr. Mei Wu (
