Job Responsibilities
- Research and development of compound semiconductor based photovoltaic devices containing quantum well nanostructures. This will entail leading the epitaxial design and growth as well as directly supervising students and staff with device level fabrication and both materials and electrical characterization. The postdoctoral fellow will also be responsible to develop plans and schedules to accomplish this Air Force funded project's goals/objectives.
- Research and development of compound semiconductor based thermoradiative diodes and cells. This will entail leading the epitaxial design and growth as well as directly supervising students and staff with device level fabrication and both materials and electrical characterization. The postdoctoral fellow will also be responsible to develop plans and schedules to accomplish this NASA funded project's goals/objectives.
- Manage various customer funded projects under the RIT III-V EpiCenter in the SNL cleanroom. This will include coordination of the project-specific experiments related to the Aixtron metalorganic vapor phase epitaxy (MOVPE) reactor as well as leveraging materials and device characterization capabilities. Interface with EpiCenter customers at RIT and outside institutions to develop growth plans and potential collaborative activities. This responsibility may also include the maintenance of the MOVPE reactor, requiring SCBA use.
- Contribution of technical sections to PI developed proposals, writing research reports, journal publications and presentations at national meetings such as PVSC, MRS and SPIE Photonics West
- Other duties as assigned
