About this role

Adaptiva is looking for a passionate and driven Senior PostgreSQL Developer to join our growing development team. This is a full-time, exempt position, based at our offices in Kirkland, Washington.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality database solutions.
• Develop, implement and optimize stored procedures and functions using PostgreSQL.
• Plan and execute migrations from Microsoft SQL to PostgreSQL.
• Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements.
• Analyze existing PostgreSQL queries for performance improvements.
• Develop new queries and take ownership of PostgreSQL development.
• Take ownership of PostgreSQL development for future products and enhancement of existing products.
• Understand complex PostgreSQL, and design schemas for data storage for future products.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in PostgreSQL development.
• Ability to understand and develop complex PostgreSQL queries, historical data and schemas.
• Be familiar with at least one high-level development language (e.g., C#, Java).

The annual base salary range for this position is between $120,000 – $135,000. The range provided is broad and takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are reviewed when making a hiring decision, such as years of experience, skills, location, and other business needs.

The base salary is one component of the total compensation package, which for some roles may include a performance bonus and generous benefits.
