Power Line Construction & Maintenance Instructor - Mitchell Technical Institute : Job Details

Mitchell Technical College is seeking a Power Line Construction and Maintenance instructor to join the Mitchell Technical College (MTC) Team. The position is open until filled.Requirements and Qualifications

• Must have Journeyman certification
• Minimum of three years of experience in the industry
• Diploma in Power Line Construction & Maintenance required, Associate of Applied Science Degree, preferred.
• Pass a state and federal criminal background check.

Preferred Skills

• Passion for training with a high level of integrity, honesty, and professionalism.
• Experience with installation, maintenance, and repair of electric power control equipment, transmission lines, distribution lines, and/or electric generating equipment.
• Communicate effectively, master change, work in groups, and have strong customer orientation.

The Instructor will be responsible for:

• Teaching assigned courses; assessing student progress in classroom, laboratory, and field settings; developing and updating curriculum; and assisting with recruiting and advising students.
• Leadership in both academic and workforce areas to fulfill the educational goals and objectives of the Power Line Construction and Maintenance program and MTC.
