Power Plant Shift Supervisor - Consolidated Asset Management Services : Job Details

The Shift Supervisor oversees the operational management of a 2-Unit, 1800-MW fuel oil/natural gas power plant. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations while complying with federal and state regulations. Responsibilities include supervising shift personnel, addressing abnormal situations, and supporting mechanical, electrical, and I&C functions as needed. Essential Duties Operational Management: Assume responsibility for plant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with all regulations. Operate the plant within environmental, operational, and manufacturers guidelines. Problem-Solving and Emergency Procedures: Monitor operating conditions, identify and diagnose issues, and take corrective action as necessary. Develop and implement emergency procedures to manage abnormal conditions and ensure plant integrity and personnel safety.
