Power Plant Position Description: Perform the duties necessary to operate and maintain boilers and other auxiliary equipment necessary for producing heat and power for the organization. The candidate must have an understanding of mechanic theories to support the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and/or improve equipment function. This along with electrical work, mechanical repairs, and other duties relating to maintenance are the primary duties.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week Flexible per diem shifts are also available
Shift Differentials: + $2.00 Weekend shift differential + $1.60 2nd shift differential + $5.50 3rd shift differential Holiday Pay Time and a Half

Position Requirements:
Education: High school education or equivalent is required
Experience: - -Trade school certification and three years' work experience or five years' experience in boiler room operations preferred.
- Experience in: HVAC, electrical, or plumbing trades required.
- Experience with fire alarm systems.
- Experience using electronic devices, equipment touchscreens, building management systems
- Experience with variable frequency drives
- Advanced troubleshooting skills.
Credentials: Must have a valid driver's license.
Skills and/or knowledge needed are: must display proficiency in at least one of the following areas: Boiler maintenance and repair, and HVAC, or Plumbing systems maintenance and repair. Working knowledge of basic organizational procedures, Power Plant Operations (ventilation, air conditioning systems, electrical power distribution and electrical systems common to health care facilities, plumbing, and plumbing services, power generating equipment, medical gas systems, fire alarms, and signal systems), personnel safety and safety engineering codes, various measuring instruments, mechanical and electrical, and the maintenance of this equipment, welding techniques and materials. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, interprets instruments, prepare simple equipment specifications, analyze and diagnose mechanical problems, instruct others in the performance of tasks, work independently, and can assess urgent issues, and take prompt action.
