Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Power BI Engineer with expertise in the Power Platform and proficiency in end-to-end Power BI development. The ideal candidate will have a solid healthcare background and the ability to work onsite in Rocky Hill, CT. This role combines advanced technical skills in Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate with a deep understanding of healthcare data systems and compliance standards.Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive Power BI reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights through high-quality visualizations.
  • Utilize Power Apps and Power Automate to create custom applications and automate workflows, streamlining business operations.
  • Build and maintain robust data models while ensuring data accuracy by connecting Power BI to diverse data sources (SQL, Azure, Excel, etc.).
  • Apply knowledge of healthcare industry standards (e.g., ICD-10, HL7, HIPAA) to ensure compliance and relevance in reporting solutions.
  • Handle Power BI administrative tasks, including user management, access control, workspace configuration, and data security.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to identify data requirements and deliver tailored analytics solutions.
  • Optimize Power BI reports for high performance, ensuring fast load times and seamless user experience.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for Power BI reports, Power Apps, and Power Automate workflows.
RequirementsRequirements
  • 9+ years of overall industry experience with at least 5+ years in Power BI development and 2+ years working with the Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate) in a healthcare context.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data, regulations (HIPAA), and industry-specific reporting needs.
Technical Expertise
  • Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Report Server.
  • Hands-on experience with Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience integrating various data sources.
  • Expertise in data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and ETL processes.
  • Experience transitioning from on-premises data solutions to Azure Cloud, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, and Azure Data Factory.
  • Ability to manage Power BI Service environments, configure workspaces, and assign user permissions.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or Power Platform certifications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.
