Compensation Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Status: Full Time Regular Shift: DAY SHIFT Department: OP Infusion Position Summary Summary:The Adult Nurse Practitioner assumes responsibility for the care provided to a selected number of patients. Consideration is given to the patient's stage of development according to life cycle. The Adult Nurse Practitioner assists in functions related to the diagnosis and treatment of patients under the supervision of an attending physician within the hospital. The Adult Nurse Practitioner is an expert clinician that works withing a collaborative model to provide quality care and to improve patient outcomes by strengthening continuity of care in all settings for oncology patients, families and staff. Qualifications Responsibilities:Education Required • Must complete in-house orientation program • Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Experience And Skills • Excellent interpersonal skills • Speaks, reads and writes English • Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a RN. • Demonstrated competency as a Nurse Practitioner. License/Certifications • Current NYS licensure as a registered professional nurse • Certification as an Adult NP • OCN Certification required within 2 years of hire • BLS Certification • AOCNP Certification preferred • ACLS Certification required • In collaborative agreement with physician(s) on staff and fulfills terms of collaborative agreement Working Conditions Other information:Working Conditions • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn • Frequent, prolonged standing/walking. • Lifting, positioning, pushing and/or transferring of patients. • Protective clothing worn: face shields, gloves, impermeable gown, particulate respirator
