Desert View provides safe and competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. We provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.The Practitioner of Respiratory Care will provide respiratory therapy services to patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary issues. This role includes assessing, diagnosing, and treating respiratory conditions, administering treatments and therapies, and educating patients on managing respiratory health. The Respiratory Care Practitioner will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.Key Responsibilities:Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with respiratory disorders, including asthma, COPD, pneumonia, and sleep apnea.Administer various forms of respiratory treatments such as oxygen therapy, inhaled medications, and mechanical ventilation.Perform diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests, blood gas analysis, and chest physiotherapy.Monitor and evaluate patients' progress and adjust treatments as needed in collaboration with the healthcare team.Educate patients and their families on respiratory health, treatment plans, and preventive care.Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital protocols.Assist in emergency situations such as code blue events, providing respiratory support in critical care settings.Ensure equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and sanitized.
