Job Title: Pre-Award Specialist I
Job Description
The Pre-Award Specialist I provides pre-award services to help research investigators develop and submit federal, state, foundation, private, and other sponsored project proposals throughout the entire research enterprise of the health system. Responsibilities include providing services in various aspects of the proposal preparation phase, interpreting sponsoring agency's guidelines, developing budgets, gathering documentation to support sub awards and subcontracts, coordinating required approvals, and ensuring regulatory requirements are met. The role involves oversight and management of up to 80 assigned proposals per year, reviewing project budgets, coordinating proposal development assistance to Principal Investigators (PI), and ensuring that proposals meet sponsor requirements and are compliant.
Hard Skills
+ 1-3 years of grants experience
+ Bachelor's Degree or higher education
+ Proposal Development
+ Uniform Guidance
+ Knowledge of Grant Research
+ Proficiency in software packages (Huron Research Suite, Assist Through NIH)
