This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for the assembly and development of Rocket Engine components as part of the Casting operation, located at 18410 63rd Ave NE | Arlington, WA 98223. Your expertise will also drive improvements in rocket engine components design, maintenance, and refurbishment. Throughout the manufacturing process, you will identify, develop, and deploy methods to improve quality, reduce cost, and optimize build sequences and schedules. As an integral member of the team, you will support DFMA and PFMEA studies to strengthen the feedback loop between design, build, and test and accelerate the pace of rocket engine development.
This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention toward safe and repeatable human spaceflight.

* Weekdays- Monday- Thursday (5:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
* Weeknights- Monday-Thursday (3:30 PM- 2:00 AM)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Post-cast cleaning
* Knockout
* Waterblast
* Plasma and/or abrasive cutting
* Grinding
* Walk-in Sandblasting
* Lot traceability
* Software transactions
* Viropeen/part marking
* Help maintain inventory of tooling and equipment
* Safely work with hazardous systems, chemicals, and materials using the proper PPE
* Identify, develop, and deploy new manufacturing methods (or refine existing ones) to improve quality, reduce cost, and optimize the build schedule
* Support DFMEA and PFMEA studies to strengthen the feedback loop between design, build, and test
* Support the development of manufacturing work instructions to clearly define the following manufacturing process: receiving inspection, fabrication, assembly, test, integration, and refurbishment
* Identify non-conformances and escapes, support and deploy corrective actions
* Manage hardware configuration and maintain pedigree throughout the entire build and test process
* Occasional company truck trips to local vendors (no CDL required)
* Other responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
* 1 to 8 years of direct manufacturing experience, aerospace preferred
* Experience reading and understanding specifications and detailed work instructions
* Proven experience and successful track record in developing new processes
* Basic computer skills for lot traceable transactions and work instructions
* Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately at all levels of the organization.
* Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
* Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
* Physical Requirements:
* Climb ladders and stairs
* Lift and carry 50 lbs. for limited durations
* Full respirator fit-testing required
* Full blast suit (including helmet) required for sandblasting
* Work schedule may vary and depend on hardware and testing
* Remain flexible by working overtime and weekends (when necessary)
Compensation Range for:
WA applicants is $22.01-$30.82
Other site ranges may differ
