We are a busy practice whose mission is to provide neuro-ophthalmology and glaucoma care to the New York City population. We are seeking to hire pre-medical and pre-optometry students for one to two year positions as ophthalmology technicians/ assistants. Qualified individuals will be fully trained on the job.Our goal is to integrate qualified candidates into the daily flow of our primarily specialized ophthalmology practice. The roles in this position will include tasks of a ophthalmic assistant, scribe, patient care coordination and medical record management. In these roles, you can expect first hand clinical exposure to a vast array of ophthalmological conditions and begin to develop an understanding of their medical/surgical management.
