Job Summary:
In this role, you will perform high-precision assembly tasks with a focus on welding and fabrication, supporting the production of advanced aerospace components. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, a strong technical background in welding, and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform precision welding and fabrication tasks, ensuring adherence to engineering blueprints and technical specifications.
- Assemble and align high-tolerance components, including metal structures and aerospace-grade materials, using advanced welding techniques.
- Operate specialized welding and fabrication equipment such as TIG/MIG welders, plasma cutters, and CNC machines.
- Conduct inspections and tests on welded and fabricated components to ensure dimensional accuracy and structural integrity.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to address assembly challenges and recommend improvements to processes.
- Maintain and ensure compliance with cleanroom and safety protocols during the assembly process.
- Document all assembly and inspection activities in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in welding or fabrication (e.g., AWS, ASME) preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in precision welding and fabrication, preferably in the aerospace or defense sectors.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and weld symbols.
- Expertise in TIG and MIG welding, particularly with aerospace materials like aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel.
- Familiarity with quality standards such as AS9100 or ISO 9001.
- Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Experience with lean manufacturing practices is a plus.
