* **Full Time 6:00am - 2:30pm** & **Part time 4pm-8:30pm** shifts available

** Cedarwood Plaza, a 115 bed skilled nursing facility located in the heart of Cleveland Heights Cedar-Fairmount district and a short drive from University Circle, and downtown Cleveland, offers a warm and comfortable environment with staff committed to treating everyone like family- with compassion, respect and kindness. The facility offers a dedicated rehabilitation unit with private suites for short-term patients, along with long-term care, skilled nursing, hospice care, and respite care.**

****Job Summary**The primary purpose of the Dietary Prep Cook is to provide assistance in all dietary food service functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures.**Job Responsibilities****

**

* Dietary Prep Cooks will be responsible for food service or assisting the preparation of food.

* Dietary Prep Cooks will be responsible for setting up trays for service and setting dining room tables for food service.

* Dietary Prep Cooks will follow menus to ensure proper meals and beverages are served to residents.

* Dietary Prep Cooks will be responsible for cleaning of dining room, removal of dishes and food service equipment and cleanup of food service equipment.

* Dietary Prep Cooks will be responsible for bringing a pleasant and enjoyable food service experience to all residents

* Works well with their fellow food service teammates as well as the remaining nursing home staff.

* Follows all facility policies, as well as state, federal and OSHA regulations.

* Other duties as assigned by the Dietary Manager**

****Education and Experience Requirements****

**

* High school diploma or equivalent required

* Must be able to read and comprehend food order and directions

* One year previous dietary or food service (restaurants, fast food, and hospital) worker experience preferred

* On-the-job training provided**
