Confidant Hospitality is now hiring passionate and hardworking Prep Cooks for Confidant, a two-way concept, blending elements of traditional NYC with its new modern-day flare, is the homage and innovation that Brooklyn has been waiting for and deserves. Brendan Kelley and Daniel Grossman, chefs in their 20s, met on the job at Roberta's. Now they're turning a raw space into the first full-service dining room in Industry City. It'll be a luncheonette until evening, when the dinner menu will have dressier trappings and a seasonal à la carte menu featuring dry-aged fish. -NY Times

Confidant Luncheonette is inspired by New York City's vibrant diner and deli culture, bringing a fine-dining level of attention to detail and inventiveness to midday fare in a bright and bustling, yet laid-back environment. For dinner, Confidant will transform into a place of comfort and luxury. Showcasing a seasonal a la carte menu and chef table experience that will spotlight the ingenuity and creativity of the Confidant team. Confidant & its Luncheonette are committed to matching the vibrant innovation and excitement of Industry City and its historic roots through a high level execution, and an intentional, relentlessly evolving menu.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and handle all produce, meat, seafood, and poultry.
• Unload deliveries, stock, and rotate inventory.
• Ensure food prep and storage areas meet health and safety standards.
• Set up and stock the prep station and kitchen.
• Follow instructions from the executive chefs.
• Clean prep areas and manage leftovers properly.
• Maintain inventory and supplies.
• Work with the kitchen team to cook menu items.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking techniques.
• Teamwork experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team environment.
• Prior experience in a similar position is preferred but not required.
