• Proven experience as a Chef or Cook, preferably in a healthcare or residential setting
• Knowledge of nutrition and dietary needs, including specialized diets (e.g., diabetic, vegetarian, food allergies)
• Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends and holidays
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Certification in food safety and sanitation (or willingness to obtain)
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with staff and residents

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare balanced, nutritious, and appealing meals for residents and staff
• Accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences while maintaining nutritional integrity
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment
• Order and manage inventory of food and supplies within budget guidelines
• Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure meals align with residents dietary plans
• Train and supervise kitchen assistants or support staff as needed
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
