Vice President, National Security Division Fully RemoteRemote position based in the DMV (D.C., Maryland, Virginia) area, DC Job Type Full-time Description Overview St. George Tanaq Corporation is building a National Security Division, which will focus on providing solutions and services to the major Federal and Defense agencies. The National Security Division will deliver professional services, support the Intelligence Community, and develop Commercial Off-the-Shelf integrated solutions for our customers. Position Summary Tanaq is seeking an experienced and driven Vice President, National Security Division to lead efforts in securing tribal or ANC 8(a) direct awards, expanding the company's book of business, and establishing a high-performing operations group. This is a seasoned and innovative leader with deep knowledge of the federal national security landscape, who has significant management experience and the ability to drive growth with an operational skillset. This is a remote position based in the DMV (D.C., Maryland, Virginia) area. Some travel (25% of time) will be required, mainly to attend conferences and meet clients. Responsibilities Business Development: Identify and pursue tribal and ANC 8(a) business opportunities aligned with Tanaq's strategic goals. Capture Management: Lead the entire capture process, from identifying opportunities to contract award, including competitive analysis, pricing strategy, and proposal development. Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with federal government officials, contract officers, and program managers, as well as large business contractors and subcontractors. Operational Leadership: Develop and oversee an operational team, ensuring process improvement, budget management, and alignment with company objectives. Growth Initiatives: Establish and execute strategies to meet designated revenue targets and improve profit margins. Team Development: Mentor, coach, and grow employees to support professional development and succession planning. Collaboration: Foster teamwork and open communication across internal divisions and external support teams. Requirements Required Experience and Skills Proven track record of winning tribal or ANC 8(a) direct awards. Previous experience with a Small Business Administration (SBA) 8(a) company, preferably an Alaska Native Corporation (ANC), Native Hawaiian Organization (NHO) or Indian Tribe, as well as with larger companies that would provide credibility in potential teaming arrangements. 15+ years of experience growing and leading teams in the federal contracting space with experience in program/project management, business development, and strategic planning focused on the government market sector (i.e. DOD). 10+ years' experience in business development preparing proposals, work plans, cost estimates for business plans for significant client growth and overseeing the successful implementation of such plans is required. 5 + years with profit & loss responsibility and program management experience. Demonstrated experience providing direction for operations and ensuring compliance with all management policies, plans, and procedures. Ability to lead team member engagement and a desire to seek out innovative ways to establish and maintain outstanding relationships with a broad array of team members, customers, and partners. Prior Federal Government experience is required. Ability to obtain and maintain government clearance is required. Ability to travel 25% of the time within the U.S. is required. Must possess a valid driver's license with a clear and satisfactory driving record. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. Top Secret Clearance is preferred. Education and Training Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 15 years of experience in government contracting or equivalent is required Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. May need to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Pay Range The projected annual salary range for this position is $180,000/Yr. - $210,000/Yr. USD.
