Position Overview

As President of St. Joseph Healthcare and a member of the Covenant Corporate Leadership Team (CLT), you will be at the helm of a mission-driven organization, leading efforts to align strategy, operations, and community impact. Reporting to the Covenant Health System CEO, while also under the direction of the St. Joseph Board, you will oversee the strategic, operational, financial, and cultural health of St. Joseph Healthcare while championing quality care and community impact and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate as an active member of Covenant's senior leadership team by actively engaging in system leadership decisions and strategy.
  • As the President of St. Joseph Healthcare, serve as the key leader within the Bangor market to advance the mission and values within the local community.
  • Develop and maintain strong community relationships and partnerships to address identified needs.
  • Oversee the financial health of St. Joseph Healthcare, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with Covenant Health objectives.
  • Implement the Quality Plan, ensuring compliance with accreditation and licensure standards.
  • Foster an organizational culture of accountability, professional development, and engagement.
  • Collaborate with medical staff, the Board of Directors, and local senior leadership to drive operational excellence.
  • Actively participate in advocacy efforts to support organizational and community goals.

Qualifications

  • Education: Advanced degree in business administration, healthcare management, or related field required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership in healthcare management, with at least five years in a senior executive role. Experience in Catholic healthcare ministry organizations preferred.
  • Skills: Strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, exceptional communication, and the ability to inspire and engage diverse stakeholders.
