Press Brake Operator - General Devices Co : Job Details

Are you an experienced Press Brake Operator who is dependable, can lift heavy sheet metal, and can read and follow schematics? If so, General Devices is looking for you to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating precision measuring instruments, fabricating sheet metal products, and ensuring high-quality results. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.5+ years of Accupress experienceneeded.Hours are: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM Mon thru FridayTypically pay starts between $21 and $24 per hour. Pay rate will be based on local rates, knowledge, and experience in the craft.What you will do:Prepare the brake press for operation by selecting the appropriate tooling, installing dies, and making necessary adjustments to ensure accurate bending, angles, and dimensions.Confirm sufficient raw material to run and complete jobLoad and unload material to and from the press brake with or without assistance from a team member for heavier materialsUse either an Accupress or Bystronic press brake to achieve the desired result as required by the customerDetermine working tonnageKnow the types of bending (air bending, bottom bending, coining, etc) and know the different tooling tolerances for every punch and die used.Read blueprints and/or specifications to achieve precise bending.
