Job Description :
Position Summary & Objective The Press Helper handles all print, conversion, and finishing steps for assigned jobs, ensuring quality and timely completion. Responsibilities include accurate paperwork, supplying materials, holding tools, and maintaining the cleanliness of work areas and equipment.Essential Functions Performed by the Position
  • Review job specifications to determine product requirements, including appearance and performance.
  • Verify accuracy of materials and supplies (e.g., print plates, cylinders, inks, coatings, dies).
  • Inspect products for defects (spots, streaks, scratches, etc.) and correct as needed.
  • Adhere to quality and security protocols, including inspection, splicing, winding, labeling, and product disposition.
  • Complete paperwork for time and materials, maintaining job and lot separation with clear labels.
  • Consult with Quality Assurance on product standards and deviations.
  • Keep the Pressroom clean and organized, ensuring proper clean-up and product disposition.
  • Follow building security guidelines and handle security products and waste appropriately.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Production Supervisor or Lead.
Position Qualifications Education:
  • High School diploma or GED required.
Experience:
  • 1-2 years of press help experience.
Language Proficiency:
  • Fluent in English.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
  • Interact professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers.
  • Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
  • Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.
Working Hours and Conditions
  • Office and factory work environment.
Physical Characteristics and Demands
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods during shift.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and supplies.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment.
  • Comfort with repetitive tasks and movements.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach to perform various tasks.
  • Ability to work in a factory environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Capability to work efficiently under physical demands for extended periods.
