Summary
  • Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Area-specific Safety checks and repairs.
  • Performs Preventive Maintenance according to the schedule. Performs Emergency repairs to Down Equipment .
  • Daily upkeep of machinery.
  • Aids in setting up new equipment or moving existing equipment.
  • Uptime/Downtime improvements.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
  • 2-year certificate from college or technical school; or 2 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of PLC Design software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Must be willing to obtain a forklift license, overhead crane license as well as an elevated lift license.
Other Skills and Abilities
  • Work with PLC and ladder logic controls troubleshooting. Electrical schematic reading ability along with hydraulic and pneumatic schematics. Electrical background with the ability to troubleshoot relay logic of voltages ranging from 5 volts to 480 volts.
