- Act as Case Manager for select courts in the Yellowstone County Pilot Site, to include troubleshooting problems, creating procedures for managing cases, working with processors to resolve software issues, and generating customized reports to audit data entered into the AutoMon Case Management database;
- Evaluate whether defendants' charges dictate generation of a PSA, based upon multiple criteria, and communicate this to the courts, County Attorney's Office, and Office of the Public Defender;
- Examine PSA reports prior to distribution to court(s) to ensure accuracy of data and then request specific correction from processors, if appropriate;
- Collect data from various court/legal and detention sources and enter into AutoMon Case Management database throughout each day;
- Review, research/audit and document court orders, conditions of pretrial release, hearing dates, and other pertinent information related to defendants' court proceedings;
Minimum Qualifications Education/Experience/Training:
- Associate degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Paralegal Studies, or relevant field; OR
- Two (2) years office working experience in a criminal justice or legal enforcement, to include use of Microsoft Outlook for at least part of that experience; OR
- Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training totaling two (2) years.
Special Requirement:
- Must pass criminal background check prior to employment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in a correctional, criminal justice, or legal setting;
- Familiarity with legal terminology and/or progression of cases through legal system;
- Experience with AutoMon, FullCourt Enterprise, and New Work Corrections/LERMS.
