Description:Summary:Northstar Behavioral Health Network is a team of professionals that specialize in serving those battling substance use disorders, specifically Opioid Use Disorder and Stimulant Use Disorder. Also specializing in those needing Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS). All Shifts available: morning, afternoon, evening, overnights, weekends Multiple locations throughout the metro areaFull-time and part-time availableBehavioral Health Technician Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):Administer client medications and documents accordingly.Maintain current knowledge of house and client activities.Transport clients to and from appointments, intake pickups, discharge drop-offs, etc.Plan work tasks to coincide with programming requirements.Set priorities in monitoring clients, making house rounds, documentation of pertinent information and completion of other assignments.Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of program philosophy and policies and procedures, 245G requirements, house operations, including client rights and confidentiality.Assist counselors with intake/admission procedures, orientation of new clients and co-workers.Encourage clients to achieve their goals by functioning as a positive role model.Participate in client recreational activities with a positive attitude.Serve as a resource for clients through knowledge of services and opportunities in the community.Documentation of client information in the communications log and completion of other forms.Objectively document client related topics in client files and communication logs.Complete clerical assignments such as faxing, copying programming materials, stocking packets/forms, typing documents in Word and updating Excel spreadsheets.Assist in food preparation, and household cleaning duties as needed.Adhere to attendance and absence policies.Punctual in reporting for work and shift change reports.Participate in rotational and/or off-shift schedules, including a holiday rotation schedule, as applicable.Able to work additional hours/off-shift as needed.Requirements:Behavioral Health Technician Job RequirementsValid Driver's License with acceptable driving recordCPR/First Aid Certification or attain within 30 days of employmentMust be able to pass a background checkKnowledge of all MN Statutes related to providing services for the population NBHN serves, and willingness to learn, understand, and carry out regulations with integrityMust understand and follow NBH's Drug and Alcohol PolicyMust be at least 18 years old.Proficient computer skills, including knowledge in MS Office, and Google Suite programsBehavioral Health Technician Full Time Benefits (30hours a week)We provide a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, well-being, and financial future, including:Paid time off, Medical Insurance, HSA, Dependent Care, 401k & Company match, Dental, Vision, Short and long term disability, EAP, and 1.5 time on holidays.Behavioral Health Technician Part Time Benefits (.
