To promote a collaboration of partnerships to support a continuum of programs and services to address the prevention and intervention of abuse and addiction issues within the schools and communities of Blair County
Responsibilities
- Design and implement prevention programs for community groups, businesses, schools, and others that support the prevention plan.
- Coordinate services with community organizations to effectively use resources and targeting of at-risk populations.
- Provide technical assistance to community organizations by guiding their efforts and channeling their activities to integrate with the prevention plan.
- Provide SAP support services to school districts.
- Facilitate educational groups of identified at-risk students through the Student Assistance Program (SAP)
- Develop and maintain relationships within the assigned school districts and their community.
- Complete DDAP approved data entry in required time frame.
- Promote prevention initiatives and philosophies through appropriate contacts with the media.
- Maintain national, state, and regional contacts to keep up to date with new prevention philosophies and practices.
- Collaborate with pre-natal and early child development health organizations to develop and implement a comprehensive approach to address Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD).
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Health Education, Education, the Social or Behavioral Sciences or related fields
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Public Speaking/teaching skills
Current Driver license and reliable vehicle
