Primary Care Medical Assistant or LPN - Guthrie, OK - Mercy Health : Job Details

Mercy Primary Care is seeking a full-time (40 hours a week) RN, Licensed Practice Nurse or Medical Assistant to join our team.

Prepares patient for visit with provider by completing Advanced Standard room process including entering the chief complaint; taking patient vital signs; reviewing patient history and allergies; completing a thorough medication reconciliation; working the Encounter Guide including helping to close any open care gaps such as fall risk, depression screening, breast cancer screening, colorectal cancer screening, and diabetic eye exams; rechecking elevated blood pressures; and completing needed documentation in Epic for yearly preventative visits as needed.

• Clinic Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm

QUALIFICATIONS:

Primary Care Assistant - Medical Assistant:Education: High School Diploma or GED.Certification: Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.Preferred Experience: 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office. Phlebotomy experience highly desired.Primary Care - Certified Medical Assistant:Education: High School Diploma or GED.Certification: Must have active Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA). Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.

LPN Qualifications:

Education: Diploma in Practical Nursing

Licensure: Active LPN licensure

Preferred Experience: 6 months clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office

RN Qualifications:

Education: Associate of Applied Science or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Licensure: Active RN licensure

Preferred Experience: 6 months clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office.
