Job Title: Primary ClinicianGrade: 22Salary: $79,116 - $95,435The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time Primary Clinician position at the Washington Heights Community Service.OnTrackNY is a Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC) treatment program based at the NYS Psychiatric Institute/ Columbia Department of Psychiatry, a premier research, clinical, and academic center. OnTrackNY serves adolescents and young adults experiencing early psychosis. Equity, inclusion, rapid access, and self-determination are at the core of everything we do.The Primary Clinician is a full-time, on-site position providing clinical care to program participants and their families. The OnTrack NY model offers hopeful, youth-friendly, recovery-oriented work; a supportive & collaborative team-based approach; low participant care load; training and technical assistance in the CSC model; and a learning community of experts and colleagues. The CPI aims to advance a behavioral healthcare system whose workforce provides the highest quality and value of evidence-based treatments and services for recovery and wellness to participants and their families. The CPI serves as a key resource in spreading those practices identified by the New York State Office of Mental Health (NYS-OMH) as critical to supporting the transformation of behavioral health care service delivery in New York. CPI's reputation for excellence in training and implementation support has also led to increasing collaboration and social entrepreneurship with organizations and systems of care. The Contracts Coordinator will be responsible for preparing, negotiating, invoicing, and tracking contracts between CPI and its customers. This position will provide CPI with project management and business support for revenue streams.Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serving as the Primary Clinician for a subset of program participants, which includes: engaging participants and families in care; conducting assessments and treatment planning; assessing risk and engaging in safety planning; providing individual therapy, care management and family services; providing services in the community as needed; facilitating groups; and supporting participants in transitioning from the team to other services
  • Collaborating closely with team members and participating in the weekly team meeting
  • Ensuring timely documentation of all services provided
  • Completing required data reporting for program evaluation and fidelity assessment
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and experience with or ability to learn Microsoft Outlook
  • Participating in on-call rotation providing after hours support by phone for urgent clinical situations
  • Completing other tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's degree and license in an appropriate clinical field (social work, mental health counseling or similar)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Experience working with individuals who have been diagnosed with a psychotic disorder
  • Experience working with adolescents and young adults
  • Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledge about recovery oriented approaches to care and shared decision making
